The Burgate School and Sixth Form offer all staff the opportunity to benefit from childcare vouchers, the cycle to work scheme and the loan of a school laptop for specified teaching roles. Induction and in-service training are provided for all staff and there is a special internally run programme for NQTs and another for RQTs, as well as access to a wide range of CPD through our Teaching School alliances and beyond.

The school works with a number of teacher training institutions to provide opportunities for trainee teachers. This is both through the PGCE route working with Southampton and Portsmouth Universities, as well as through the Schools Direct training route with Bitterne Park and Ringwood Teaching Alliances.
